Community Rules

Unreleased Island - Community Rules

Welcome to Unreleased Island. This is a curated, trust-based community built around unreleased music. To keep it valuable for everyone, we ask every member to read and respect these rules.

1. Account Access & Approval

Membership is earned, not automatic.

Every account request is manually reviewed before access is granted. We do this because the quality of this community depends entirely on who is in it.

  • Apply honestly. Tell us who you are, what you make or collect, and why you want to be here.
  • Fake or misleading applications are permanently rejected.
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts used to bypass restrictions lead to permanent bans.
  • Access can be revoked if behavior consistently falls below community standards.
  • Do not share login credentials. Your account is for your use only.

We reserve the right to decline applications without explanation. This is how the platform remains valuable for active members.

2. Exchange & Trading Rules

Fair exchange is the foundation of this platform.

The exchange system is built on reciprocity. When two members wishlist each other's tracks, an exchange is created automatically. Use this system in good faith.

  • Only wishlist tracks you genuinely intend to exchange.
  • Once an exchange is created, both parties are expected to honor it.
  • Do not move trades outside the platform to bypass exchange mechanics.
  • Do not upload low-quality or placeholder tracks to satisfy exchanges.
  • Downloaded tracks are for personal listening and professional use only, never redistribution.

If an exchange appears abusive or bad-faith, use reporting tools instead of direct retaliation.

3. Promo Pool Conduct

Promos are a privilege, not a broadcast channel.

  • Send promos only to artists relevant to your style and genre.
  • Do not use promo pools for follower farming or aggressive networking.
  • Recipients are not obligated to respond, download, or acknowledge.
  • Do not follow up aggressively or contact recipients outside the platform about promos sent here.
  • Treat promo tracks as unreleased material under leak-protection expectations.
  • Repeated misuse can result in promo pool access being suspended.

4. Leak Reporting & Consequences

Leaking unreleased music is the most serious violation on this platform.

Every download carries an invisible watermark tied to recipient identity. If a track surfaces outside the platform, source tracing is possible and enforced.

What counts as a leak

  • Uploading or sharing received tracks to any external platform, service, or private channel.
  • Sending downloaded files to anyone who is not the rights holder.
  • Using tracks in mixes, streams, or recordings without explicit producer permission.

What happens when a leak is detected

  • Watermark trace identifies the source account.
  • Responsible account is permanently and immediately banned with no reinstatement.
  • In serious cases, evidence may be shared with affected artists for legal follow-up.
How to report: Use the leak reporting tool in your dashboard with links, screenshots, and platform details. Every report is investigated.

If you receive a track from someone outside the platform and suspect it came from here, report it too. Protecting this community is everyone's responsibility.

A final word

Unreleased Island works because members want it to work. Every rule exists to protect your music, your trades, and your trust in who you share with.

If something feels wrong, report it. If you are unsure, ask before you act. If you are here in good faith, you will never need to worry about these rules.
